History

Maori evangelists brought the gospel to Kaikohe around the time of the Treaty of Waitangi in the early 1800s.  The Holy Spirit was poured out afresh on group of believers in the late 1970s. Kaikohe Christian Fellowship grew out of charismatic prayer group in 1981.  The Christian Fellowship birthed the Heart of the North Celebration Centre on the day of Pentecost 1998.  1998 was a significant milestone.  The church moved from being an independent church out on its own, to being connected in apostolic relationship with the Celebration Centre Movement of Churches.  This has resulted in considerable growth and blessing!
